Bliss Alpha V02!


Bliss Alpha V02 is here!

This update is quite large and includes a ton of fixes.  No new content as of now, but keep an eye out for the next update which will include our version of a survival system to make days/nights more interactable and fun. In the meantime, daytime has been shortened for less wait time . 

For now please see some, but not all, of the changes below:

-ui and game assets now all properly 4k ( no more weird distortion on upscaling/downscaling due to assets being scaled down yay)

-adjusted most scenes to reflect asset scale changes.

-adjusted code to reflect changes made to assets/scale

-fixed issue where ui elements couldn't be clicked due to other controls hidden on top ( changed all controls to pass)

-migrated tilemap to tilemap layer and updated code to fix set_cell() changes.

-fixed garbage ui inventory selection still moving when popup was open.

-changed how player spawn location works when entering places. Now utilizes a placed node to visualize the spawn location, rather than fixed in code.

-added actual black screen image to use for game over screen instead of a modulated godot logo.

-Adjusted several controls keyboard/mouse controls via focus.

-new metal detector arrow has transparent background instead of white.

-lowered amount of random environment objects that spawn.

-fixed bliss home dialogue crash

-fixed daynight ui label being super small

fixed save menu lbl causing buttons to grow horizontally. ( still need to add translation keys to these)

-fixed blissnpc interact area being too small, making her face opposite to you.

-fixed remaining UI elements for 4k

-fixed hitboxes with bliss so we don't have to be so close

-have bliss look at you when you enter her talkable area

-fixed nagwel spawn distance being too close

-fixed glitch when loading during a mingame being active keeping minigame running

-fixed glitch where empty name could be accepted, will default to kristopher if no name is entered

-nagwel guide no longer spawns when you start dialogue with witch for the first time

-nagwel guide no longer spazzes out when reaching destination. will despawn within 200 dist.

-fixed instances of narrator dialogue being wrong color

-fixed scenes 5-8 not being in bliss's home instead of the carlot where they should be.

-fixed minigame timer not pausing when game is paused

-adjusted bliss faceplayer code to activate all of the time, not just when talking.

-fixed bliss not facing the player in the carlot specifcally ( changed position check from global to local)

-fixed border tiles being too spread apart

-fixed vndialogue not hiding fully with shift key.

-changed day time to 120 seconds instead of 300. (2 min vs 5, temporarily until survival update)

-updated dev_note scene to include "i" and "shift" hiding inventory and dialogue respectively.

-updated dev_note to include movement/accept/cancel hotkeys

-fixed y sorting origin on one of the bush tiles.

-inventory hidden by default

-fixed most button white lines by changing focus style to empty(sure i missed some somewhere)

-fixed hbox being in the way of text edit in new game menu

-partially fixed not being able to use X in your name (input box still loses focus after x)
